Popular Nigerian musical artiste, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy finally receives his plaque for winning the Grammy Awards 2021.
The African Giant emerged the winner of the Best Global Music Album category in this year’s Grammy Awards 2021 with his Twice As Tall Album, an album that features a wide range of international artists such as Stormzy, Youssou Ndour, Naughty By Nature, and Chris Martin of Coldplay, and had Sean Combs as executive producer.
Burna Boy’s album competed with “Fu Chronicles” by Antibalas, “Agora” by Bebel Gilberto, Anoushka Shankar’s “Love Letters”, and then “Amadjar” by Tinariwen in the 63rd annual Grammy Awards.
Well, Burna Boy a day ago took to his social media account, his verified/certified Instagram account to share the arrival of his well-deserved Plaque after being announced months ago as the winner.
In the Instagram post, Burna Boy shared pictures of himself holding the 2021 Grammy Awards Plaque as well as a video to celebrate it, saying “Early Morning deliveries from across the pond!”. [see the pictures and watch the video below]
Burna Boy Receives Grammy Awards Plaque: Burna in his announcement showered praises onto his parents for not choosing cars, houses, and other things, but rather, they prayed and asked for excellent children (himself and siblings).
Burna Boy back in 2019, was nominated in the same category Best Global Music Album which was formerly called ‘Best World Music Album’ with his African Giant Album, which was his first Grammy nomination but lost to Angelique Kidjo during the awards ceremony in 2020 which she dedicated to him for his hardworks.
