The La Liga out-fit who refused to sell the 23-year-old France defender to the Blues last summer after their much effort to bring him to West London are now open to a deal this time around.

Premier League giant Chelsea are set for fresh talks with Spanish club Sevilla in the coming days in the hope that all parties can find an agreement for Jules Kounde deal to be completed.

Thomas Tuchel who has enjoyed a great start to the Blues’ pre-season tour of the United States have welcomed the arrivals of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Townflex sports understands that the Blues continue to be heavily linked with moves for Jules Kounde and Presnel Kimpembe as Thomas Tuchel primary target is to have a solid defence after losing two key defenders to La liga champions and runners-up in the summer.

Reports from Spain, as per The Mirror, Chelsea are growing increasingly confident of beating Barcelona to the signing of Jules Kounde from Sevilla this summer.

Spanish club Sevilla want 60m euros (£51m) for Kounde as they need funds to reinvest into their squad and are hoping Barcelona could start a bidding war with Chelsea.

Catalan boss Xavi is known admirer and has attempted to persuade the France international to have a change in heart and join Barca this summer, but the 23-year-old is said to have verbally agreed a move to Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old France defender who can play as a centre-back or right back has been a long-term target for the Blues and looks set to be on course for a move at the prospect of teaming up with Kalidou Koulibaly.

The France international in recent years has become one of the best defenders in La Liga and has all the abilities required to become one of the best centre-backs for football in the next years to come.

Jules Kounde in 44 appearance for his club this season has scored three goals and provided three assists across all competitions. He is a mainstay for his side, leads the backline and his commanding presence will be the ideal centre-back for who ever signs him this summer.

According to report from London, Thomas Tuchel want the board to sign at least one new forward this summer after missing out on Raphinha to Barcelona and it’s Todd Boehly’s mission to keep his wish happens.

The west Londoners registered the first win of pre-season tour in Los Angeles with a 2-1 victory over Club America, they will now travel to Orlando for a clash with Charlotte FC before facing Arsenal a few days later in the Florida Cup final.
