Grammy award-winning singer, Cynthia Weil, the songwriter behinds hit songs like You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling, Uptown and Dolly Parton’s hit, Here You Come Again, has been confirmed dead.

Cynthia Weil dead: The news of her death was announced by her daughter, Dr Jenn Mann, who confirmed that her mother has passed away in a released statement while paying tribute to her.

According to Dr Jenn Mann, her mum died on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, she was 82.

‘My mother, Cynthia Weil, was the greatest mother, grandmother and wife our family could ever ask for. She was my best friend, confidant, and my partner in crime and an idol and trailblazer for women in music.’ Jenn told TMZ.

Dishing out his tribute for the late music icon, Cynthia’s husband who also doubles as a fellow songwriter, Barry Mann, said: ‘I’m a lucky man. I had two for one: my wife and one of the greatest songwriters in the world, my soul and inspiration.’

Her family said in a statement; “Cynthia Weil’s Grammy award winning lyrics touched the hearts and souls of hundreds of millions of people around the world, making her one of the most iconic songwriters of the 20th Century. Her husband, Barry Mann, says, “I’m a lucky man. I had two for one, my wife and one of the greatest songwriters in the world, my soul and inspiration.”
