Information reaching Townflex has it that American rapper and actor, DMX has been confirmed dead.
Born with his legal name ‘Earl Simmons’ but better known as DMX as his stage name was an American rapper, songwriter, and actor who began his rapping career in the early 1990s.
He released his debut album It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot in 1998, to both critical acclaim and commercial success, selling 251,000 copies within its first week of release.
According to XXL, DMX’s team shared with them a statement from the family of the beloved veteran rapper confirming that DMX has passed on.

As reported, the rapper who was 50-year-old died today, April 9th, 2021, at White Plains Hospital, after suffering an alleged overdose that led to a heart attack on April 2.
On Friday (April 9), DMX’s team shared a statement with XXL from the family of the beloved veteran rhymer, confirming DMX has died at age of 50 years old.
““We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days. Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end.
He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him. Earl’s music inspired countless fans across the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever. We appreciate all of the love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
Please respect our privacy as we grieve the loss of our brother, father, uncle and the man the world knew as DMX. We will share information about his memorial service once details are finalized.”
