Dr. Amakye Boateng, who is a Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) sends a message to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to find a new flagbearer.

Speaking in a recent radio interview on Neat FM’s ‘Me Man Nti’ program, Dr. Amakye Boateng was of the view that John Mahama’s time is passed.

According to him, in his personal opinion, he sees no need for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party to led by Mahama but rather should renew itself by getting a new leader.

“I don’t think the NDC needs (former) President Mahama again . . . the party needs a new image, the party should reinvent itself,” he said.

He further suggested that NDC should “clear its entire leadership and bring in new faces . . . the party should renew itself”.
