Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys crew is currently being sued for sexual battery in connection with an alleged encounter with a minor in 2001.
Nick Carter Accused of Rape: According to a legal lawsuit filed on Thursday obtained by TMZ, the lady who is accusing the singer, identified as Shannon Ruth claims she was 17 years old at the time of the alleged incident.
According to reports, Carter says all claims against him are false, revealed to TMZ by a source close to Nick adding that he is Nick is currently focusing on his famiy and mourning the death of his brother.

Ruth stated that Carter invited her to join his tour bus after a Backstreet Boys show in Tacoma while she was waiting in a queue for an autograph.
According to the obtained lawsuit, Ruth, who has autism and cerebral palsy, was asked if she wanted a drink, she consented and asked for apple juice, but Carter allegedly informed her he had cranberries, giving her a “red-colored drink.”
Ruth claims the drink tasted strange, and Carter labeled it “VIP juice” but drank it only to discover it was a combination of vodka and cranberry juice.
It went on to say that the American singer then took her to the bus’ restroom and commanded her to perform oral sex with him; she claimed she was crying at the time, but Carter continued to instruct her.
She stated that after the bathroom, he led her to the bus’s bed area and continued to sexually attack her. She said that after the encounter, she allegedly indicated she’d inform people about what he did, but he threatened to turn others against her and then began calling her a “r******* little bitch” that no one would believe.
According to the documents, Ruth, who claims she was a virgin before the alleged attack, developed HPV afterward and she’s now suing for compensation.
“The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration, shame and self-harm that are a direct result of Nick Carter raping me,” the now-39-year-old alleged.
“Even though I’m autistic and live with cerebral palsy, I believe that nothing has affected me more or had a more lasting impact on my life than what Nick Carter did and said to me.”
Ruth then further alleged, “After he raped me, I remember him calling me a ‘re—-ed bitch’ and grabbing me and leaving bruises on my arm.”
“Just because Nick Carter is a celebrity does not mean that he is excused from his crimes,” Ruth said at the press conference. “I am a survivor and always will be.”
Is Nick guilty or not, well, this isn’t the first time the singer has been accused of the allegations but he has never been charged with any crimes.
