Award-winning rapper Sarkodie responded to Tuesday’s unpredictable power outage at Tema General Hospital’s infants unit.

Shortly following the blackout, a nurse bemoaned the state of affairs in a widely circulated video, explaining how the hospital’s incubator infants were in danger due to the power outage.

“At Tema General Hospital, the lights were abruptly switched off. The nurse stated in the video, which has drawn a lot of attention from Ghanaians, “if we don’t get light in few minutes, the probability that we might lose a lot of babies is high.”

The consequences of having the wrong priorities. We offer prayers for these helpless infants,” he stated.

Recently, there have been unpredictable power outages all around the nation. As a result, a schedule for load-shedding has been required by the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission and other Ghanaians.

On the other hand, Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh urged individuals in favour of a load-shedding plan to submit their own suggested schedules at the launch of the NPP campaign team in the Ashanti Region.

If it was necessary, he urged detractors to create their own schedules.

“Let those who desire the schedule to present it. I’m not aware of any schedule because the ECG has determined that it’s not required. He questioned, “Why would someone just wish evil for the country?”

“I’ve given you my word that we will work to resolve this problem; it won’t be solved right away. The government’s plan to address the unpredictable power outages is being implemented gradually, he underlined.

The Energy Minister came under heavy fire after making a remark that prompted the Ministry to issue an explanation.
