Zakia Kunge, a Ghanaian singer, composer, and performer, has discussed the reasons why some women wed men they don’t love.

She claims that there are some severe situations that force women to wed guys they do not love.

On the “Girl Vibes Show” which was telecasted on e.tv Ghana, Zakia Kunge said, “The primary reason most women enter marriage is for accommodation.

Many women use marriage as a fallback when their life or business objectives don’t work out.”

She continued explaining that since many of them do not want to construct homes or rent, marriage serves as a fallback option.

“They will rather marry and move in with the men for a while and plan their next move. So, accommodation is the basic reason for women to get married,” the pundit emphasized.

She went on to say that having financial difficulties is another reason why some women choose to get married.

“A lot of women will also marry men for financial security. They don’t love the person but they know they’ll be secure financially.

And they won’t really have to hustle for money as the men will be taking care of them once they agree to be the wife so they go ahead with the marriage,” she addressed.

According to her, she has noticed that many women had come to the conclusion that love would not provide for them or be of any use to them, therefore they would prefer to be with someone who could.

“Unfortunately, we live in a very silica society and some people want to marry just because they want to be called someone’s wife or because of what they’ll gain from the marriage and not because they love the person they’re marrying,”

Although many women have their own motivations for getting married, in her opinion, love should be one of them and not just the advantages that accompany it.
