The Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of defunct gold dealership firm Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah gets blasted by Ghanaians after congratulating President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for a “well-merited” re-election.
His congratulatory messages got the tempter of Ghanaians up causing mixed reactions following the fact that the funds of many Ghanaian citizens have been locked up in his defunct gold dealership firm ‘Menzgold’ leaving people angry and looking for ways to retrieve their funds, he is currently facing charges of defrauding by false pretence in court.
On December 9, he took to his official Twitter page where he congratulated president-elect Akufo-Addo of NPP for a “well-merited” re-election, and also to the NDC & Ex prez John Mahama for giving great & exemplary accounts of himself in Monday’s general election.
“Congratulations to the NPP & the president-elect;H.E.Nana Akufo Addo for a well-merited election. To the NDC & Ex prez John Mahama for giving great & exemplary accounts of yourselves. You’re all indeed great men of our land. We’re proud of you.#GhanaShallProsper” – he tweeted.

Sometime back, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama said he will pursue the Chief Executive Officer for Menzgold Nana Appiah Mensah popularly who is known as NAM 1, to retrieve held up investment of customers if he wins the December 7th polls.
Mahama who was speaking at Tarkwa-Nsuaem in the Western Region as at that time wondered why the Akufo-Addo government does not appear to be interested in confiscating the properties of NAM1 but rather venting their anger on customers.
President Akufo-Addo of the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) won Monday’s general election with 6,730,413 representing 51.595% while his main contender John Mahama of the NDC had 6,214,889 representing 47.366%.
The declaration of the result is still causing a whole lot of problems as Mahama and the NDC are not ready to accept the results with the belief that it was a wrong declaration pointing facts that the election should have been won by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) per the figures received sent to the headquarters from their polling agents.
