Richard, a resident of Umuahia, Abia State, borrowed a significant sum of money, and when luck turned against him in a bet, he found himself in dire financial straits.

In a heart-wrenching Facebook post, he wrote, “Today is my last day on earth. I’m going to meet my maker,” hinting at the deep despair he felt.
Friends and well-wishers, alarmed by his alarming post, reached out to him, only to discover him in agonizing pain. Rushed to Madonna Hospital in Umuahia, the young businessman succumbed to the effects of the poison, leaving behind grieving friends and family.
A poignant video captured Richard in the hospital, wearing the same lemon-colored t-shirt from his final live video. Some acquaintances speculate that he had already ingested the lethal substance before broadcasting his distressing farewell.
Richard is survived by his elderly mother, a woman he frequently mentioned on his Facebook page. Just weeks prior to his tragic end, he spoke about his mother’s desire for him to find a life partner and settle down.
