Donald Trump accuses Joe Biden of accepting $20M bribe, demands impeachment

Former President Trump asserts that newly discovered financial records support claims of bribery involving the Biden family and foreign individuals. He also implies allegations of corruption against Joe Biden.

During a conversation on Wednesday (August 9), former President Donald Trump engaged in a discussion with Newsmax host Eric Bolling at his golf establishment in Bedminster, NJ. Regarding recent bank documents indicating that the Biden family received at least $20 million from foreign entities, the former president shared his perspective.

These records, obtained through the House Oversight Committee under Republican leadership, provide what Trump claims is undeniable evidence of then-Vice President Biden being influenced through financial incentives.

“That’s a tremendous amount of money. And nothing was done for it. It was just a bribe. It’s just a bribe – extortion and a bribe,” Trump stated, attributing his interpretation to the uncovered documents.

Similarly, the 45th president highlighted the situation involving Viktor Shokin, the Ukrainian prosecutor-general who was dismissed after Joe Biden’s implied threat of withholding $1 billion in U.S. financial aid.

The former president also mentioned, “When you see him talking about the billion dollars for the prosecutor – I’m amazed nothing was ever done. You know, you talk about quid pro quo that was quid pro quo.”

Included in the bank records is a notable transaction on February 14, 2014, detailing a money transfer of $3.5 million. This financial transaction originated from Yelena Baturina, a Russian tycoon and former first lady of Moscow, sending funds to Rosemont Seneca Thornton – a venture managed by Hunter Biden and his former business associate, Devon Archer.

In what he offered as an informed hypothesis, Trump asserted that these funds may have reached Joe Biden, either indirectly or possibly directly. The former president referred back to his 2020 debate with Joe Biden, where he raised this very issue.

Trump used the terms “corrupt,” “crooked,” and “compromised” to describe Joe Biden, attributing these qualities to his interactions with China. He alleged that China’s financial support for Biden far exceeded what is disclosed in the bank records.

Continuing, Trump said, “But I believe that China has paid them a lot more than that. You look at University of Pennsylvania. You take a look at what’s going on over there where China pays millions and millions of dollars at Biden’s center and I guess they pay him a million dollars a year – I think they have it at $999,000 a year, that way you don’t have to maybe report because it’s under a million. But I believe we have a compromised person as president.”

Using the term “Manchurian candidate,” Trump accused Joe Biden of being influenced by China and suggested that Biden’s apprehension towards China stems from a hidden financial connection.

“China’s specter casts an undue shadow upon him. The rationale behind this timidity stems, I am inclined to believe, from an avaricious relationship obscured from the public eye,” Trump posited.

In addition, Trump, a prominent figure in GOP voters’ preferences for the upcoming 2024 election, called on Republican members of Congress to initiate impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden based on alleged corruption. He claimed that the charges brought against him by the Biden Justice Department are retaliatory responses to congressional inquiries into the Biden family’s activities.

Trump asserted, “One of the reasons they go after me is because the Republicans are going after them and going after them very, very powerfully. But something has to happen. I mean, it’s just it’s massive theft. It’s extortion. It’s – nobody’s ever seen anything like it. This is the most corrupt human being, this is the most corrupt family, for these things to be happening is not even believable.”

Trump did not withhold criticism of certain Republican colleagues who expressed reservations about prioritizing Biden’s impeachment over other matters. He argued, “And I heard a couple of Republicans – nice people – and they said, ‘Well, we have other things to worry about.’ We have to do this. We have to deal with it. What can be more important than this?”

Meanwhile, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said Wednesday that Hunter Biden allowed access to his father for “oligarchs from around the world” during his time as vice president. Comer stated that Hunter Biden’s foreign associates from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine attended dinners with the Bidens at Café Milano in Washington.

“It’s clear Joe Biden knew about his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be ‘the brand’ sold to enrich the Biden family while he was Vice President of the United States,” Comer stated while releasing the first son’s bank records.
